Pfahnl - May we introduce ourselves
Our company on the banks of the Waldaist in Pregarten has a very long tradition and was officially documented for the first time in the year 1476. Today it is the second largest private mill in Austria and is being successfully managed in the 18th family generation by Andreas and Herbert Pfahnl. Nine international sales subsidiaries and baking centres of excellence, export activities in more than 30 countries, investments in food safety and new technologies, as well as producing roughly 170,000 tonnes of flours and baking ingredients annually tell you all you need to know about us as a producer of flour and baking ingredients.
Pfahnl takes a very clear position when it comes to quality, flexibility and efficiency, while maintaining its technological advantage is a constant focus in Pfahnl's everyday business operations as well as in its strategic direction and planning.
The demands of customers in the baking, confectionery, patisserie and snack sector are increasing all the time. The best equipped bakeries and baking studios offer all the possibilities to produce individual customer products as well as developing practical products for "Real Top-Class Baking".
Capable, motivated and goal-orientated employees are the foundation on which our success at Pfahnl is built. As producer of flour and baking ingredients we train our own "specialist professionals for tomorrow" within our own company. The spectrum of professions is varied: from process technicians for the grain sector, to the apprenticeship as baker through to the profession of office administrator.
Quality has the utmost priority at Pfahnl. Internationally recognised certifications such as IFSv6, ISO 22000:2005, ISO 9001:2000 but also various quality standards such as organic, RSPO, QS, Kosher and source-identified free range egg production are part of our quality concept.
Pfahnl takes it social responsibility very seriously; the company places a great deal of importance on securing jobs in the region. The model producer of flour and baking ingredients now employs a total of around 150 staff.
Absolutely all processes from the product development, to production, sales through to the warehouse logistics are completely controlled with IT technology. Hundreds of international customers from both home and abroad come to our Pregarten baking studio, in order to see the very latest product developments and to test the application recipes.
